Deaf Awaireness Training
Angie Goto collaborates with Sue Jo Wright, both who are leading Deaf awareness educators and cultural consultants, working with some of Australia’s most respected arts and cultural institutions. They delivers engaging, practical Deaf awareness training designed to help organisations build inclusive, confident, and accessible environments for Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. With lived experience and deep sector knowledge, training goes beyond theory. They equip teams with real-world understanding, practical communication strategies, and cultural insight that transform how institutions engage with Deaf audiences, artists, and staff. This work supports organisations to move beyond compliance toward meaningful inclusion, ensuring Deaf culture and community are respected, understood, and celebrated.
Auslan/Gestural Tours
Gesture Tours is a Deaf-led, intimate experience within an exhibition in which no spoken words are exchanged. Audiences are guided entirely through body language, creating a reflective encounter that explores the many ways we communicate beyond words, through movement, presence, and the body.
Developed and delivered collaboratively by Angie Goto and Sue Jo Wright, Gesture Tours is the result of several years of ongoing research and practice. The artists were invited to present a gesture performance at the opening of the new Art Gallery building, Naala Badu the Art Gallery of NSW. Over the past six years, Gesture Tours has become a core feature of the Biennale of Sydney’s programming and is regularly presented across leading arts organisations throughout New South Wales.
Angie Goto also regularly delivers Auslan tours for leading arts organisations, including the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Film Resorces for Organisations
In collaboration with Studio Sensorium, Angie co-creates high-quality Deaf Awareness Film Resources. These films support ongoing staff training and provide accessible learning tools that organisations can integrate into their internal programs.
